Richmond College Shines at All-Island School Photo Contest

We are proud to announce that Dasith Thushan, a talented student from Richmond College, has achieved remarkable success at the Galle District Professional Photographic Studio Owners Association’s All-Island World Photographic Day School Photo Contest. Dasith earned the 2nd place in the Amateur Color Category, showcasing his exceptional photography skills.

The contest, held in celebration of World Photographic Day, drew entries from budding photographers across schools in Sri Lanka. Dasith’s ability to capture the essence of color and emotion in his work earned him this prestigious recognition, bringing pride to our school and inspiring other students to pursue their creative passions. M.A. Madumal’s Triple Triumph at All Island Mathematical Competition 2023

On the 22nd of September 2023, the All Island Mathematical Competition was held at the Isurupaya Auditorium in Batharamulla. Students from schools across the country gathered to showcase their mathematical talents, and our school made a remarkable impression, winning several medals.

On September 22, 2023, the Isurupaya Auditorium in Batharamulla was filled with young mathematicians from across the island for the prestigious All Island Mathematical Competition 2023. Among them was our school’s very own M.A. Madumal, who made us proud with a stellar performance.M.A. Madumal, a Senior 1 student, showcased incredible problem-solving skills in three different categories, walking away with not one but three medals! He secured third place (bronze medal) in both the Maths Trail and an overall Senior 1 performance, and clinched the second place (silver medal) in the challenging Maths Puzzle.

Madumal’s triple achievement not only highlights his dedication but also places our school on the map as a center for mathematical excellence. Congratulations to Madumal for his outstanding success!

K.A.Y.D. Methsilu Brings Home Bronze in Junior Maths Puzzle

The All Island Mathematical Competition 2023, held on September 22 at Isurupaya Auditorium, Batharamulla, was a day of celebration for our school, especially for junior competitor K.A.Y.D. Methsilu.

Methsilu, competing in the Junior Maths Puzzle, proved his mathematical prowess by securing a third place (bronze medal) finish. His determination and logical thinking shone brightly, making his school proud.

S.H. Gajaweera’s Bronze Win in Junior Maths Puzzle

The All Island Mathematical Competition 2023, held at Isurupaya Auditorium, Batharamulla, on September 22, was the perfect stage for S.H. Gajaweera to demonstrate his mathematical talents.

Competing in the Junior Maths Puzzle, Gajaweera impressed the judges and earned a well-deserved third place (bronze medal). His strategic approach to problem-solving and calm under pressure made him stand out among a tough group of competitors.

Little Harmonies Exhail the island’s Air

All island western music and dance competition final rounds held on 11th of September at NIE at Maharagama.”Little harmonies” of the Richmond college, the junior choir got all through and achieved 1st place at All Island junior school choir competition!
