Introduction DFID Global school partnerships program is a worldwide program .It has been designed to share educational experiences between British schools and schools from Asia, Africa and Latin America. Schools are expected to work on Global concepts such as Diversity, Globalization , Interdependence ,Sustainable development ,Peace and conflict. Students are given the opportunity to do collaborative projects on agreed themes relevant to the curriculum.
International Club
We have two partnerships with two U.K. schools under this program. The senior students work with Easingwold school while primary (Grade 01-06) students work with Thornton Primary school. Senior International club were able to win the “International school award”
It is expected to get the whole school participation in doing curricular projects but there should be a coordinating club to design the initial work. Richmond college International club is the central student group with different capacities. In addition to the project work , International club members are given special trainings to develop their English , leadership ,communication and presentation skills. Same time the club members are expected to support different English language programs as a resource group. The club members meet on every Wednesday afternoon.
