Started playing cricket at Madampa M.V. And Was a member of the 1st eleven of that college. Started coaching cricket in 2008. Was a member of the Sri Lanka spin bowling squad in 2010 – 2011. Started coaching at Richmond in 2012. At present , he is a very talented and specialised level 2 spin bowling coach.
