Renovation of the Richmond Cadet Room

The opening Ceremony of the  renovated Richmond Cadet Room was held on the 1st February with the participation of the College Principal Mr Sampath Weragoda as the Chief Guest..Renovation of this  venue had been a dire necessity for the activities of the College Cadets.Mr Chintaka Darmasenage , the Master in charge of the College Cadets Platoon  along with the cadets and their parents had organized the opening ceremony in an attractive manner.They all convey their sincere thanks to the college principal for his interest and the keen attention on needs of the college like this. 345 4523

Kapruka Pooja

A special Religious Programme by Richmond College A Special “ Kapruka Pooja” programme was implemented by Richmond College, on 28th of January 2017. This special religious programme was launched under the patronage of Ven: Beragama Sumana Thero (Richmond Staff) and the guidance of college Principal Mr. Sampath Weragoda. Kapruka Pooja was offered to the Sacred Saomawathie Stupa in Polonnaruwa. Richmond Swimming Meet – 2017

Richmond  College Inter house Swimming Meet  2017 was held on 30th Jan 2017 at the  College Swimming Pool Complex. Though the heavy rain made a little disturbance , the event was started at 3.00 pm. .Renowned Old boy Mr H.U.Kariyawasam , The director -Finance ,Vocational Training Authority , graced the occasion as the chief Guest…Under the supervision of the college principal Mr Sampath Weragoda , College sports section had organized the event in a high standard

YALE NUS College Asia Pacific Model UN 2017

YALE  NUS Asia Pacific  Model UN 2017 was held from 12th to 16th at YALE  National University of Singapore , Singapore. 12  delegates from Richmond College participated in it representing Sri Lanka and succeeded in securing three international Awards.The twelve delegates who represented the event were

Rasula Yadithya, Lasal Sandeepa,, Teshan Pamesh, Gangulel Samaraweera,Dasun Theekshana, Chehan Jayasuriya,Kaveen Purna ,,Bineth Losera ,,Parinda Gunawardena ,R.Sandeesh ,,,Wishwa Dilshan  and Ravindu Theekshana  .

The awards won by them were as follows

Rasula Yadithya  and  Lasal Sandeepa –  Best foreign policy statement -Belgium UNHRC

Teshan Pamesh Uralagama  -Best Agency -Al Jazeera Press Corps

Further Sri Lanka MUN was awarded the Best Overseas MUN  Award

Richmond Delegates were accompanied by Mrs Priyanka Sannasuriya  and Mr Lalith Kumarasiri, the Masters in charge of MUN programme at Richmond
